Natural Habitat:

Originally discovered in the Rio Aripuanã region of Brazil, Blueberry Tetras inhabit slow-moving, tannin-rich forest streams and tributaries with dense vegetation and soft, acidic water.

Tank Mates and Compatibility:

Peaceful and social, Blueberry Tetras do best with other gentle fish such as Pencilfish, Corydoras, smaller Rasboras, and peaceful Dwarf Cichlids. Avoid aggressive or large fish that may outcompete or intimidate them.

Shrimp Safe:

Generally safe with adult dwarf shrimp, though small shrimp fry may be at risk. A well-planted tank with hiding places helps shrimp colonies coexist peacefully.
